The Actif Carmarthenshire Sports Awards, now in its 22nd year, is one of the most prestigious evenings in Carmarthenshire’s sporting calendar.
The annual awards recognise and reward those people who have made a positive difference and shown outstanding achievements in their field whether it be as an individual, coach, volunteer or sports team in disabled, non-disabled, professional and amateur sport.
Some of these represent their sport on a local, national or even international level and we want to recognise and celebrate their commitment and hard work. This year, we were also looking for individuals, teams and clubs who, despite the COVID-19 pandemic, overcame adversity to inspire others to be active during lockdown.
The awards are organised by Carmarthenshire County Council's Sport and Leisure Team.
Our main sponsors for the 2021 awards are McDonalds, with 1st Line Funeral Care, Enzo's Homes Limited, Coleg Sir Gar and TAD Builders sponsoring award categories. We thank them all for their continued support.
The winners for each category will be revealed at the Actif Carmarthenshire Sport Awards ceremony at the Ffwrnes Theatre, Llanelli on Thursday 10th March 2022 (from 7:30pm)
As well as the Sports Personality of the Year Award, the categories include Young Sportsman and Sportswoman, Community and High Performance Sports Coach, Sports Volunteer and Young Volunteer, Sports Team, Young Team and Club of the Year and Outstanding Services to Sport Category.
Thank you to everyone who nominated an individual, team or club. Full list of all shortlisted finalists per category can be found on the link below.
