Actif Carmarthenshire Sports Awards 2018

Sport Awards

The annual Sports Awards recognise and reward those who have made a positive difference and shown outstanding achievements in their sporting field over the previous 12 months.

Hosted by Actif’s Sport team the event raise the profile of the incredible athletes that we have right here in Carmarthenshire.

The awards, which were a sell out, took place at The Ffwrnes Theatre, Llanelli on Friday 8 February 2019 at 7pm.

Winners from each category were all announced on the evening

Roles undertaken could involve leading sessions, running events, officiating and administration. Voluntary work is unpaid, and predominantly within Carmarthenshire. Nominations are welcome from teachers.

Voluntary work is unpaid, predominantly within Carmarthenshire and is not part of a formal educational course.

Clubs that have made a significant impact on developing their sport through community engagement, promotion and fundraising.

Outstanding Services to Sport

Life Time Achievement Award. Male or female of any age, must be a serving member of a club in the Carmarthenshire area.  This category is restricted to volunteers only. We are looking for an individual who has dedicated over 20 years to improving sport within their community/organisation, from coaching, officiating, administrative roles to washing the kit, preparing refreshments or general maintenance of the club.
