On Monday 16 August Llandovery Leisure Centre will be hosting an Open day to encourage members of the Llandovery community to try out the facilities and see what's on offer. 

Part of the old Ysgol Pantycelyn site was converted to house the new leisure centre meaning that people can now take advantage of an all-inclusive offer of gym, swim and fitness classes for the first time. A brand new gym features top of the range equipment with the latest technology that allows people to surf the web, watch TV, log in to their social media accounts or watch YouTube videos whilst they work out.

The open day will offer the local community an opportunity to come and see the brand new facilities for themselves and even sign up for a FREE 7-day membership. There will be lots of FREE things to see and do (see timetable below) from toddlers all the way up to grandparents.

Fun Swim

An active pool session for the whole family to enjoy. Fun floats and an inflatable assault course that is laid out in the swimming pool.

*Swimmers must be competent and arrive ‘swim ready ‘and follow all relevant signage at the swimming centre at all times.

General Swim

Try our newly refurbished swimming pool with accesible Lane swimming.

Adult Swim

Get fit and improve swimming technique with Adult only swimming.

Swim Lesson Taster

Learn and develop valuable swimming skills with group swimming lessons for Adults or Children.

Actif Anywhere On-Demand

Basketball

A fun filled Basketball coaching introduction for 8 – 12-year-olds.

Inflatable

Balance bike training aims to teach children the skills they will need to learn to ride a bike.

Skills For Sport

Skills for Sport sessions are fun filled sessions that have been precisely created utilising the fundamental skills of many different sports.

Improve your child's agility, balance and co-ordination. Suitable for children as young as 3 years old.

Family Fitness

For families with children aged 5-13. Have fun getting fit together. Fitness games and circuit style exercises so you have a good time, without realising you're getting fit!

Ride to interactive immersive scenery with the NEW Life fitness IC6 bikes which have the latest Coach by Colour and My ride technology.

FTP Spin Testing

Personalise and maximise your experience in these classes, we do recommend you complete an FTP Spin test, this will give you a more accurate number that gets inputted at the start of the class.

Coach By Colour

Enhance your cycling experience by using 5 coloured training zones to ensure that you are working at the right intensity, every workout.

All you need to do is match the colour on your bike to the colour on the instructor’s bike – simple but not always easy!

Circuits

A class of fun challenges that provides a fast moving way of accomplishing all round cardiovascular and muscular fitness.

Kettlebells

This class provides the essential elements of core strength training and cardiovascular exercise with the use of a kettlebell. You will really notice a difference in just a few sessions.

Core

This class seeks to increase strength, flexibility and develop controlled movement from a strong core.

Bootcamp

An effective form of exercise that combines bodyweight exercises with interval training and strength training, designed in a way that pushes the participants harder than they'd push themselves.

Badminton

Improve your fitness and stamina with a fun game on our badminton courts. (Please arrive ready to participate complying with current Badminton Wales guidance).

Walking Rugby

Walking Rugby is a fun team game that is accessible to people of all ages and abilities. Whether you are an established player or you're new to the game, Walking rugby is a much simpler version of the traditional rugby game.

Less physical than a standard game of rugby, the aim is to participate, compete, and most importantly, enjoy yourself.
