We have developed new procedures, safety measures, risk assessments and training. So you can be sure that you are in the best hands and that we will protect you and our team at these times. Please read all the measures we've put in place

Please be aware that you CANNOT turn up WITHOUT PRE-BOOKING an activity (Gym, workout pod, fitness class or swim session).

Before visiting our centres, we ask that anyone feeling unwell or showing COVID19 symptoms that you stay at home and follow NHS guidance - let's keep ourselves and others safe.

FACE COVERINGS IN OUR CENTRES!

As of Monday 14 September, it will be mandatory to wear face coverings in all our Actif leisure centres.

You will need to wear a face covering when…

  • Entering our Leisure centres and while inside the centres.  Depending on what you are doing within the centre you may be expected to leave it on.
  • Preparing to exercise, changing, undertaking any activity that isn’t strenuous, or on leaving the leisure centre, especially when in close contact with others.

Please make sure that the face-covering covers your nose and mouth at all times

You will not be expected to wear a face covering whilst exercising e.g.

  • Whilst swimming
  • Whilst taking part in a fitness class
  • When attending a gym session.  In the gym, we will not be asking customers to wear face coverings during exercise, and it will not be compulsory to wear face coverings to get from one station/piece of equipment to the next.

There will be certain situations and activities where staff will not be required to wear a face-covering for overriding safety and practicality reasons e.g. whilst lifeguarding.

We continue to ask staff and customers to adhere to the social distancing guidelines when visiting/working in our centres.

IF YOU HAVE NO BOOKING, WE WILL HAVE TO TURN YOU AWAY.  THE BOOKING SYSTEM ENABLES US TO MANAGE THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE ATTENDING OUR CENTRES EACH DAY, SO WE CAN KEEP OUR CUSTOMERS AND STAFF SAFE.

CAN I ACCESS THE FACILITIES AT OTHER ACTIF LEISURE CENTRES?

Did you know that your Actif membership gives you access to ALL our Actif leisure centres?  Even though Carmarthen and Llanelli Leisure Centres are currently closed you can restart your membership and use the facilities at any of the following centres;

  • Amman Valley – gym, workout pods, indoor fitness classes and swimming pool (lane swimming only in the main pool)
  • Newcastle Emlyn – gym and workout pods
  • St Clears – gym, workout pods and limited indoor classes
  • Llandovery Swimming Pool – Swimming pool (lane swimming only in the main pool)

MEMBERSHIP PRICES

For those of you wishing to restart your membership, you'll be pleased to know we've temporarily reduced our direct debit membership prices to reflect the services that we can offer you when we re-open, which should deliver even greater value for your Actif membership. The lower prices will stay in place until the end of September. These prices will be reviewed each month considering the facilities and services we are able to make available to you.

Household - £30 a month
Platinum / Corporate platinum / Student / Over 60's / Bronze / Corporate Bronze - £20 a month

RESTARTING YOUR MEMBERSHIP

If you wish to restart your membership, the great news is you can now do this yourself. 

Follow the steps below to rejoin with us;

  • Click JOIN 
  • Select Site from the drop-down list (please select your preferred centre, even if you are using another of our centres for the time being)
  • Select Sign up for a membership
  • Select Online Direct Debits
  • Select your chosen membership from the list
  • As you are already a member you won't need to add your details, just tick Yes, I have a Member ID and PIN and enter your details in
  • Continue adding in your details and confirm payment details.
  • Once you've completed these steps you will now have access to the Actif Anywhere platform

If you do not wish to restart your membership, that's ok we will keep all memberships frozen unless you tell us that you wish to restart your membership. You can rest assured that no payments will be taken while your account is frozen.

HOW DO I BOOK AN ACTIVITY?

As of Monday 10 August you will have to PRE-BOOK into every activity you wish to attend (Gym session, Workout pod, Fitness class or Swim session).  Even if you haven't restarted your membership just yet, and you remain a frozen member you will be able to book and pay for activities if you wanted to (plus you get 10% off each activity!).  This will give you an opportunity to attend an activity and see all the safety measures we've put in place in our centres to keep all our customers and staff safe.  If you have restarted your membership, see below on how you book into each activity.

Capacity numbers will be limited, and you will only be able to book a 1-hour slot for each activity.  Bookings can be made 5 days in advance. We ask customers to be considerate and only book one activity per day. This is to ensure that everybody gets an opportunity to come back to our centres and enjoy the benefits of exercising. 

  1. You can click on BOOK at the top of this page.  Make sure that you have your Membership ID and PIN to hand (don't worry we'll be sending this out via direct email shortly -  keep an eye in your inbox, if you miss it double-check that it hasn't gone into your junk folder and mark our email as 'safe' so you don't miss out on any important updates from us)
  2. Download our app, search Actif Sport and Leisure in your app store.  Once you've added your local centre you can click on the relevant buttons to make a booking.  Again make sure that you have your Membership ID and PIN.
