Llanelli Cricket Club like other clubs have found that Coronavirus has had an effect on their club. They applied for the Be Active Wales Fund to “protect” their club to ensure the club was open to allow cricket to be played and for others to watch the sport.
Llanelli Cricket Club is very much a family orientated club and their junior section is important to them.
After a successful application, receiving £2525, Llanelli Cricket Club can now cover the ongoing costs of ground and equipment costs as well as essential utility bills and insurance premiums.
This is crucial to ensure the interest of the sport remains within the community. This funding will no doubt be a massive help to the club.
If your club would like to apply for funding and require support, please get in touch with the Actif Communities Team or by visiting the COVID-19 support - Be Actif Wales Fund webpage.
