Exciting news and important information for Llandovery Leisure Centre customers
Llandovery Leisure centre will see an exciting £40,000 upgrade to the floor of the swimming pool changing room.
This project will start on Monday 5th June and will take approximately 4 weeks to complete.
What does this mean to customers?
The swimming pools will remain open while the works are being carried out. However, the showers and changing rooms will be out of action from 5th June. As a result, we ask that you arrive for your session ‘swim ready’ (swimwear under clothes). After your swim we will have portable tent changing pods on poolside that will give you the privacy to dry off and change after your swim (see image).
We do apologise for the inconvenience that this will cause over the next 4 weeks. We are however very excited that this work is finally being carried out, and hope that it will create a better experience for all swimming pool users.
How does this affect swimming lessons?
Swimming lessons will also carry on as normal, but again, with changing rooms out of order you will only be able to use the portable changing pods to change. We would ask that you bring your child ‘swim ready’ for their lesson.
Some of the spaces will be taken up by the contractor while the work is being carried out, but we will try and limit this to a small number so that there is still plenty of spaces for leisure centre members to park.
We apologies again for the inconvenience caused.
